On the (Northern) Summer Solstice of 2023, shortly after sunrise, I sat down to create this web site. At 1:32 PM that day, it was live.

Hugo has been designed for building blogs, like this one. It’s fast, free, and produces lightweight static web sites – a huge improvement over the behemoth that is Wordpress, while virtually eliminating the wide attack surface it’s known for.

It’s flexible — anything about the site can be tweaked by someone with the knowledge to. It’s not like Wix or other WYSIWYG creators you find on the web. You can use one of the popular themes, drop it in, and start writing, which is what I did that day. In my case, I decided to make a couple of tweaks to the theme, but you don’t have to. Or, we can go all in and build a theme for you from scratch to perfectly match the branding your customers, patrons, or comrades are used to seeing.

What this means for you, if you’re a prospective client, is that we can build a web site or blog for you at a very low cost, without making any compromises. With content provided from you and a stock theme, we should need less than one working hour to have it ready to go for you. It also means that if that stock theme doesn’t quite fit your needs, we can build on that simple base to create something more and more bespoke as time goes on.
