This organization is a worker cooperative. That means that it has two goals:

  • Support the workers who are members financially so long as the capitalist system remains in place and financial support is necessary for our survival
  • Cooperatively use our skills to further a mutually agreed-upon goal: in this case, that is, facilitating the use of technology to further the goal of seeing an end to capitalism and the authoritarian state which props it up.

To meet the former goal, we will work in a two-pronged strategy:

  1. We seek general donation support in the form of Patreon, Ko-Fi, and other regular membership services. We use this fund to offer free services to approved organizations with whom we strongly align politically, as well as to fund the hosting of publicly-accessible services for the general good, such as our Mastodon instance and password manager.
  2. We charge a standard fee for general services to organizations with whom we hold a more general affinity for but aren’t necessarily strongly aligned.

As with all aspects of the cooperative, these strategies are not handed down by edict from me, and may change as consensus among the workers is formed.
